Massachusetts residents are urged not to be complacent about The Roe Act

Massachusetts residents are urged not to be complacent about this state’s forthcoming pending law, The Roe Act, as it promises to be in sync with Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s of New York. Gov. Cuomo’s ‘Reproductive Health Act’ signed on Jan. 22, 2019, expanded abortion beyond the six-month period to late term as the ninth month, regardless of fetal viability language.

Abortion age has been lowered for children and may occur without parental consent. New York’s legalization through all nine months and the attempts of Virginia and Vermont to do likewise indicates the deteriorating of respect for life and should encourage the defunding of Planned Parenthood of taxpayer dollars.

In Massachusetts, the Roe Act requires contacting your legislators for it to be defeated. If you regard this ‘infanticide’ disgusting and horrific, you cannot delay speaking out, cannot delay acting as action is really needed today and not tomorrow.
HB3320, S1209 both deal with this subject

In Massachusetts, the General Court website is https://malegislature.gov. you will find a directory for each legislator. Also, when you click on the tab at top, “Bills & Laws,” the new window will have a search box under “Bills” and you can type in “abortion” which will display any bills that relate to this topic.

In coordination with all the preceding information, it is justifiable to mention that the movie Unplanned is showing in many theaters through the United States and also available through Amazon Prime membership. This is a must-see for those who regard the taking of the life of the unborn as an offensive act and for those who want to be informed. It relates a dramatic true story of a former Planned Parenthood leader’s eye-opening journey across the life line to the Coalition for Life. Abby Johnson was the director of Planned Parenthood Clinic in Texas for years but after witnessing an actual abortion procedure, walked away in 2009. This true story speaks hope and compassion into the political controversy that surrounds this issue.
